Your feedback, and what we’re doing about it
Every year, patients across the country are invited to take part in the national GP Patient Survey*, run independently by Ipsos on behalf of NHS England. It’s one of the ways we find out what we’re doing well and where we need to improve. Thank you to everyone at Priory Medical Group who took the time to respond to the latest survey — we read every result carefully.
We also look at your survey responses alongside what you’ve been telling us throughout the year through Friends and Family, Google reviews, concerns and complaints.
A quick note on the numbers - our survey results are based on responses from a relatively small number of patients, 166 out of the nearly 58,000 patients registered with us, so individual percentages can shift quite a bit from year to year just by chance, rather than because something has genuinely changed. Where we’re confident a result reflects a real, consistent pattern — because it’s shown up across more than one year — we’ve said so below. Where a single year’s figure looks unusual, we’ve been cautious about reading too much into it.
What patients tell us we’re doing well
Continuity of care is strong - Clinicians having all the information they need about a patient's history is at or above the national average, and this has held up consistently across multiple years of the survey.
Trust and confidence in our clinicians is high, in line with the national picture, as is how involved patients feel in decisions about their care.
Patients generally feel their needs are met and rate our clinicians' listening skills on a par with practices nationally.
These are the results we're most confident reflect real, ongoing strengths, since they've shown up consistently over three years of survey data.
What we’re focusing on
The clearest, most consistent message from three years of survey data is about contacting us by phone.
We recognise that has been a gap compared to the national picture every year, and it's the one result in our data we're most confident reflects a genuine, ongoing issue rather than a one-off. We take this seriously and it's now a priority area for us.
We're also keeping an eye on the closely related overall experience of contacting the practice, and on how quickly we confirm next steps once you've been in touch.
What we’re doing
We're reviewing how our phone system handles demand — including call volumes, wait times, and how quickly calls are answered — as part of a wider access improvement programme.
We'll continue to monitor this through the national survey and through our own call data, and we'll update this page as things progress.
If you have feedback in the meantime — good or bad — please let us know directly via: General Enquiries form - Priory Medical. It genuinely helps us prioritise the right things.
